As the wattle blooms and the weather warms, many of us are looking to give our fashion wardrobes a big (but budget-friendly) refresh. That’s why we’ve got fashion stylist Jessica Allen from @jessica.louise.allen on board to show us two seasonal trends and how to style them.

Trend #1 Bold Matching Sets
Matching sets continue to make a bold statement and dominate spring fashion. So you can’t go wrong with a colourful linen set to use as an accent for your bold new look. Check out the ranges in-centre at Target, Cotton On, Dangerfield, Edge and more.

Next up, you’ll need a few statement accessories, like a pair of oversized hoop earrings from Lovisa or Prouds, and some raffia pieces, such as a camera bag from Strandbags and moulded sandals from Novo Shoes.

These raffia pieces are must-haves – as they add a nice, natural and earthy touch to any outfit. To complete the look, shop for some classic brown sunglasses from Sunglass Hut and a neutral-coloured watch from Shiels or Zamel's.

This eye-catching outfit combines comfort and style, making it ideal for those sunny spring days.

Trend #2 Transeasonal Pieces
Transeasonal pieces are also incredibly popular during the warmer seasons due to their functional and fashionable nature. Here’s an outfit that seamlessly takes you from one place to another – without a fuss!

For your base layer, start with a pair of white straight leg jeans from Just Jeans or Jeanswest and a white tank top from Cotton On. Then add a blue long sleeve boyfriend shirt from Target - for a fresh pop of colour.

Sleek, black accessories will help elevate the look so get a a statement tote bag from Strandbags, a black belt from Target, and some classic double strap sandals from Betts. Tie this spring ensemble together with a touch of polish – using a pair of gold-plated studs and a layered necklace from Lovisa.

These two on-trend and budget-conscious outfits are guaranteed to have you feeling confident throughout the spring/summer seasons.
